Chiric Sanango is a master plant of the Amazon. She has a way of shaking us out deeply, shaking out fear, and directing us towards ourselves, the moment, Love. Chiric in Quechua means “cold” or “chilly” referring to her ability to cool the body, usually causing shivering when consumed in tea form. This shiver literally shakes out and resets our nervous system.

My experience with her is in her genius way of organizing reality. She directs me to each task at hand, precisely timed, and that often don’t seem to make sense in the moment. But after a while, I look back and see the efficiency and love in my movements. She returns one to homeostasis so that tasks can be completed, tasks that are ultimately loving and not just busy work.

When I take the flower essence during the day, it’s almost as if I’ve taken a hyperproductive microdose. I find myself energized, completing what needs to be done efficiently and clearly. Focused and grounded. Intuitive and aware. Then, when it’s time to stop, I feel her strong hand forcing me down, the balancing effect. She helps guide me with striking efficiency and clarity on what’s next and when I need to stop.

She also has a slight visionary quality to her. When sitting in meditation with her, insights come clearly and quickly.

Her wisdom calls us to be fully Present, fearless, and able to make decisions, allowing our existence to be fully grounded in the physical, where Love is a verb and is expressed through our every movement and mundane moment.

She is strict but compassionate, aligning us with our most Divine expression and an open heart.

This Essence isn’t necessarily for a certain type of person, but instead for those willing to listen to her call and dive deeper into her ability to shake us out and stand us up in life.

She was immensely supportive during my Saturn Return, helping me cut through any fear I might have had about being myself or seeing a project through. She is one of the plant allies that helped me start offering Immersions and my Essences in a real way. Organized me and gave me the direction to follow through, always with more Love.
