This is a gorgeous meditative plant, growing serenely on ponds and lakes. It’s roots purify the water below, transforming ultimately into a radiant flower that almost looks handpainted with a glorious third eye.

This aspect of purifying water is embodied in the way this essence purifies the mind, bringing racing thoughts to stillness. It allows beauty to blossom with gentle ease.

The first time I tried this essence, I sat in meditation for two hours and it felt seamless. She also encouraged me to start writing about the passing of my grandfather.

This is an invasive plant, but for me, invasive plants enter an environment with a message, a plant of reflection. In this way, I see her shifting our perspective, turning something “negative” into something beautiful and meaningful.
